This workshop is aimed at education workers, primarily those employed in primary, secondary or FE education but also suitable for education workers employed in private tutoring or the academy. The aim is to begin to take the steps to unite us to fight; not as teachers, TA’s, SEN assistants, cleaners, office workers, tutors, technicians and librarians – but as proletarians both lucky and unfortunate enough to work in education!

A short panel featuring members of Plan C, National Education Union, Communist Workers’ Organisation and the International Workers of the World – Followed by a social activity designed to connect education workers based on geography, in which the geographical groups will talk about their work conditions, local situations, union representation and all your education horror stories and victories. Trying to conclude with how we can take small steps to rekindle a militant culture of workers autonomy within education.
