In this session we’ll finally be asking the really big questions, like: what the f*ck is a horizon anyway? What distinguishes red ones from those of any other colour? If we build enough concrete plans, will we eventually reach the horizons, or do they keep on moving away from us? What is it that seems to draw leftists and radicals towards horizons and horizontal/horizonal imagery? And is this just a simple physical metaphor, or is it a philosophical concept whose genealogical tendrils extend into the realms of German Idealism, Phenomenology, the works of Victor Hugo, Jewish messianic theology and Marx’s preference for horror over science fiction? Join us for a wild ride towards, around and possibly even beyond the horizon.
