Press Release from network of Red Gyms »
Over the last 12 months we have seen the reemergence of the far-right onto the streets of Britain....
Radical Municipal politics is based on dispersing power into everyday lives, changing who and how we make decisions on our futures. A number of cities have already established, or are campaigning for, municipal energy companies – many of which are defined by democratic control and the building of non-market, and to a degree non-state, institutions. This workshop brings together to UK activists working on energy democracy to discuss why – and how – we can create our own citizen led municipal energy companies.
This session will be led by James Angel (Switched on London) and Ben Aylott (Energy Democracy Greater Manchester).
This post is one of a series announcing all the plenaries, workshops and entertainment at Plan C’s Fast Forward Festival this year. On Facebook? Join the event and follow the page for the latest.
