Any attempt to change the world has always been connected to the future – history is driven by a belief in worlds which once seemed impossible. Yet the present is defined by a suffocating cynicism, one in which it’s easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism. What would it mean if we started believing in the future again? Can we find glimmers of the future in the present?

‘Do you remember the future?’ is a public conversation with Mark Fisher (Author of Capitalist Realism and Lecturer in Visual Communications, Goldsmiths) and Morag Rose (The Loiterers Resistance Movement).

This is the first in the Conversations on the Future series, hosted by Plan C MCR.

4-6pm, Saturday 22nd March
